Comfort Linen Ltd are a commercial laundry service provider based in Devon, South West UK. Due to recent growth and the business using large 3 phase washing and drying machinery they had an extremely high electricity bill.
The company wanted to reduce their energy bills and to do their bit for the environment by contacting us and moving towards becoming a net 0 carbon business.
We conducted a free survey and energy saving consultation with the owner and later returned to install a 50kw 3-phase commercial solar Panel system to the South facing pitch of their industrial roof.
The system is comprised of 120 x Solar panels and a 50kw Solar inverter. The system will generate approximately 46,000Kwh per year. This will save the company around £16,000 per year on their electricity bill. This is calculated using the company's current price per Kwh of £0.35
A family run, premium quality soft drinks manufacturing business based in Newcastle, North East UK.
The company were reporting high electricity bills due to manufacturing their drinks in-house, as well as operating the admin side of the business from the adjoining office building.
Both the warehouse and office buildings were being supplied by the same 3-phase electricity supply.
We installed a 42 panel system with a combined output of 16.8Kw. We opted to install Enphase IQ7 microinverters beneath each panel to allow the system to be easily scaled up in size should the business require it.
The commercial solar system has reduced the company's electricity bill by around 30% since it's commissioning and has the potential to reduce it by 50% as the system has been installed without commercial storage batteries.
A Franchised main car dealership with an attached repair & servicing shop in Ottershaw, Chertsey, South East.
The business kept experiencing down days due to power cuts from the local electricity grid.
We designed and installed a Solar PV system with emergency power supply in mind.
The system supplies 17.4kwh of Solar battery storage.
The 8kw system comprised of all-black solar panels helps to reduce the company's electricity bills during the businesses opening hours.
The battery system has been programmed to first ensure that the solar panels charge the batteries to 100% before then helping to reduce the company's energy bills.
Now, during a power cut the Solar PV system will instantly and automatically transfer the shops power supply over to the battery storage system.
This means the shop can continue trading during a power cut and never experience a down day again.
A commercial solar panel and battery storage project - Dorset.
This premise is a cafe during the day and a social club at night, the owners were suffering staggering monthly electricirty bills due to the nature of both businesses.
The owners booked us in so that our commercially trained Electricians could conduct a thorough in person Electrical survey of the site and devise a plan to best make use of the large roof and save them as much money as possible on their monthly electricity bills.
Firstly, we upgraded the site from single to 3-phase, this allowed us to install a 15kwh 3-phase Solar PV inverter and a large Solar panel system on the south facing roof to really drive those monthly energy bills.
The system also includes 2 x Solax triple power 5.8kwh batteries to help supply the social club with solar generated electricity at night time.
Lemon Drainage Services Ltd are a small family run business based in Portfield, Portsmouth, South UK.
The company's office had a fairly consistent electricity bill throughout the year which wasn't quite breaking the bank but was higher than they would have liked.
Even though the industrial unit had a fairly small roof it was perfectly sized for a system to cover the vast majority of the bussiness' electricity useage.
We installed 20 x solar panels (8kw) and a 12kwh battery storage system, the batteries store any electricity generated by the solar panels that the company can't use instantaneously for later use.
The batteries supply the industrial units electrical system even when the sun isn't shining to ensure the company imports and pays for as little electricity from the national grid as possible.
